STEALTHFACTORY.COM

TL;DR – After paying a lot to GoDaddy and being extremely patient, I am now the proud owner of the domain STEALTHFACTORY.COM.

When I was in my early-mid teens, I ran an entrepreneurial effort called Stealth Factory. It stuck with me ever since. I even had a webpage for it with a blog and a classic “tips and tricks” section which had information on how you could customize your Operating System to make it nicer. Windows tips and tricks were all the rage at the time. That’s where it all began. My very first foray into the web.

Even back then, the first thing I considered was – the visitors of my webpage need to be able to type the domain name quickly. Because I couldn’t afford a premium account with Bravenet, I chose their free app-name.bravehost.com sub-domain. I figured just “SF” as the sub-domain would work. Because it was taken at the time, I picked sf4u.bravehost.com. And of course, the landing page had a hit counter, a Web 1.0 classic.

Fast forward to 2018, when I acquired the IAM.MT domain name, I immediately thought about acquiring stealthfactory.com and signed up for GoDaddy’s premium service. After waiting for so long that I almost forgot about it, as of a month ago, I got an email saying that I can now buy the domain name and voila, I’m the proud owner of stealthfactory.com 🎉

I’m just very excited by the fact that I own the domain name of my childhood entrepreneurial venture 😀

PS: I’m working on a side project for myself and I’ll be hosting it on this domain. More to come.
